Blake Robert Zimmerman came into the world on March 14th at 9:18 am. Blake is a whole 7 pounds 8 ounces and stretches 20 inches long!
Izaac has known about his cousin coming, but it's probably difficult for a three year old to fully understand a baby being in his Aunt Nicole's belly. Blake wasn't due for another week so along with Izaac we were all surprised to get the phone call that Nicole was going into labor.
Izaac came to visit Blake, Nicole, and Brian later that morning but he isn't too interested in him. Izaac ran around the hospital room, down the hallways throwing toys; being a normal three year old. When it was time to hold Blake he was a little unsure...
A few days later I called Izaac asking him to hang out. He was all for it until I mentioned we were going to the hospital to see Blake. Needless to say he gave me two quick, "NO SISSY!" and hung up.
Izaac is warming up to his little cousin and one day they'll be best friends. For now, Izaac is just waiting for him to get bigger so he can "teach him how to kick a soccer ball or play bam-bam ball."
